Ingredients
Scale
Biscuit Crust
- 1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
Sausage Gravy
- ½ lb breakfast sausage
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Eggs and Cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Garnish
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a pizza pan or line it with parchment paper. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into a 4–5 inch round. Press the biscuits together in the pan, pinching seams to form one solid crust. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cook the Sausage: While the crust bakes, cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Remove the sausage and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
- Make the Gravy: To the skillet drippings, add butter and whisk in the flour to create a roux. Slowly whisk in the whole milk, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. Stir in the cooked sausage, black pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from heat.
- Scramble the Eggs: In a small bowl, whisk the eggs with water. Scramble the eggs in a separate pan over medium heat until just set but still moist.
- Assemble the Pizza: Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the pre-baked biscuit crust. Distribute the scrambled eggs on top of the gravy, then sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Bake the Pizza: Return the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh chives if desired. Slice and serve warm for a satisfying breakfast.
Notes
