- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
Vegetables and Aromatics

- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 green onions, sliced
Seasoning and Garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Prepare the rice noodles or lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain thoroughly and set aside to prevent overcooking during the stir fry.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well and set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
- Season Proteins: Lightly season the shrimp and flank steak slices with salt and pepper to enhance their natural flavors.
- Cook Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned on the outside but still tender inside. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
- Cook Shrimp: Using the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Place the shrimp in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the cooked steak.
- Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, add minced garlic, ginger, and sliced red bell pepper. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened. Add snap peas and continue cooking for another 2 minutes, maintaining a crisp texture.
- Combine All Ingredients: Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the pan with the vegetables. Add the drained noodles and pour the prepared sauce mixture over everything. Toss well to evenly coat all ingredients with the sauce and heat through gently for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and optional sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Substitute flank steak with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
- Feel free to use any vegetables you have on hand, such as broccoli, carrots, or mushrooms, to customize the dish.
- Add red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha to the sauce for a spicy kick.
