Bagel Bites
- 12 mini bagels, sliced in half
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Olive oil spray or cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare baking sheet: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil to make cleanup easier.
- Toast bagels: Arrange the halved mini bagels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil or cooking spray. Toast in the oven for 4–5 minutes until they are slightly crisp.
- Add toppings: Remove the toasted bagels from the oven. Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each bagel half. Then, top with shredded mozzarella cheese, a few mini pepperoni slices if using, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
- Bake with toppings: Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese melts completely and becomes bubbly with golden, crispy edges.
- Cool and serve: Let the bagel bites cool slightly before serving to enjoy their crispy texture and melty cheese safely.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit the pepperoni and add veggies like chopped bell peppers, olives, or mushrooms.
- You can use full-size bagels cut into quarters for bigger bites.
