Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken Skewers
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Wooden or metal skewers
For the Bang Bang Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare chicken: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. In a large bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until the pieces are evenly coated.
- Thread chicken onto skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers evenly.
- Grill the skewers: Place the skewers on the heated grill and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking. Grill until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Make the Bang Bang sauce: While the chicken is grilling, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl until well combined.
- Serve with sauce: Once cooked, brush or drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the chicken skewers or serve it on the side for dipping. Enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less sriracha to the Bang Bang sauce according to your taste.
- This dish pairs well with rice, noodles, or a fresh slaw for a complete meal.
