Description

This Bang Bang Chicken Skewers recipe features juicy, marinated chicken breast pieces grilled to perfection and coated with a creamy, spicy-sweet Bang Bang sauce. Perfect for a quick and flavorful main course, these skewers are ideal for summer grilling and pair beautifully with rice, noodles, or a fresh slaw.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Skewers

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare chicken: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. In a large bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until the pieces are evenly coated.
  2. Thread chicken onto skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers evenly.
  3. Grill the skewers: Place the skewers on the heated grill and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking. Grill until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  4. Make the Bang Bang sauce: While the chicken is grilling, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl until well combined.
  5. Serve with sauce: Once cooked, brush or drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the chicken skewers or serve it on the side for dipping. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less sriracha to the Bang Bang sauce according to your taste.
  • This dish pairs well with rice, noodles, or a fresh slaw for a complete meal.
